Since its launch in the year 2001, Apple’s Ipod has been virtually unrivaled in its sale of digital audio players. Turmoil has engulfed the industry as Microsoft released its long-awaited player, the Zune, in late 2006. Several hundred thousand consumers have declared their intentions to abandon loyalties to Apple. This separtists movement, under the leadership of the all-powerful Microsoft, has made it difficult to heep the peace.
