The X-Mini Max II Stereo Speakers are a great solution for delivering stereo sound from portable gadgets like; portable DVD players, portable game consoles, iPods and mp3 players and laptops. Their cool funky egg shape design looks great and feels comfortable in the hand. The speakers are also equipped with magnetic bases to make light work of separating and re-joining the units without the need for additional clips/straps.
The internal battery will provide up to 12 hours of playing time when fully charged (via the USB lead supplied) and each speaker unit comes with its own power switch and LED light for full independent control.
Features:
- Large 40mm driver
- 2.5W output
- Playback time 12 hours (recharge via USB)
- ‘Buddy Jack’ design to connect a row of x-mini speakers
The sound quality from these speakers have been given an extra boost with their 40mm driver and expanded BXSTM (Base Extensions System) that packs a punch, delivering excellent sound quality for a set of micro Stereo Speakers. We were very impressed with the results from all of our sound tests including, iPod, PSP, laptop and PC (music, video and gaming). These speakers performed much better at high volume than the x-mini capsule speakers although we wouldn’t recommend it using either at this level.
Improvements:
We want to see more gadgets that offer a complete wireless solution and these speakers come close to that when used after charging. Come on X-Mini, what else have you got up your sleeve?
Overall:
X-Mini has got a lot right with these Stereo speakers and they have managed to couple great sound with cool design very well. The X-Mini Max II stereo speakers are the best in their class at the moment and are a must have for any gadget lover as well as any professionals that give presentations via their laptop.

X-Mini Capsule Speaker - 2nd generation has arrived and we had the pleasure of testing this neat little package. The X-Mini II Capsule Speaker comes in very handy for a variety of portable gadgets including; portable DVD players, portable game consoles, iPods and mp3 players and laptops.

Its compact design enables you to fit the speaker neatly into your pocket or small bag when not in use and limits the need for lengthy cables and wires. The long life battery will last 11 hours when fully charged and can be easily recharged via the USB lead (included) when connected to your laptop/PC. The controls and audio jack are cleverly tucked into the ergonomic design enabling easy use without any fumbling.
Features:
- Large 40mm driver
- Playback time 12 hours (recharge via USB)
- ‘Buddy Jack’ design to connect a row of x-mini speakers
We didn’t expect too much from a little speaker in terms of sound quality but we were pleasantly surprised. When fully extended it delivers an additional depth to the base levels but cannot cope with really high volume levels. If this is what you’re looking for try the X-mini Max II Speakers. Although this is a mono speaker you can connect your X-mini capsule speaker to another to create a daisy chain of speakers (not tested) for a greater sound experience.
Improvements:
As we advance into the world of wireless electronics we would love to see the device become even more portable by providing a complete wireless speaker solution and perhaps making them a little more beach/pool friendly with a splash proof shell!
Overall:
It certainly improves the sound from the standard speakers that are installed into most laptops and other portable devices and they look cool with a reasonable price tag. If you’re looking for a good micro-speaker that is highly portable the X-mini Capsule speaker is a great option. Check out the X-mini Max II Speakers for greater sound performance and stereo sound.

Switch the ipod to manual update and enable disk use: This is the first and most basic step for how to transfer music from ipod to itunes.
1. Open itunes on your old computer.
2. Connect your ipod to your old computer and wait for it to appear in itunes.
3. Select your ipod in the Source pane under the Devices section to display your ipod preferences in the main library window.
4. Click the Summary tab in the main itunes window.
5. Click the Manually manage music button. Changing from automatic updating to manual puts a check mark by Enable disk use. A message says “Disabling automatic update requires manually unmounting the ipod before each disconnect.”

To figure out how much space you have on your ipod:

2. Click on Music in the Source pane. The size of your library appears at the bottom of the itunes window.

? Windows: Documents and SettingsusernameMy DocumentsMy Music
4. Drag the itunes folder to the ipod. This can take a while if you have a lot of songs.
5. When the copy completes open itunes.
6. Click on the ipod in the Source pane
7. Click the Eject button in the lower right corner of the itunes window.
8. Disconnect the ipod from the computer when the “Do not disconnect” message no longer appears on the ipod screen.
4. Get itunes ready on your new computer To get itunes ready to accept all your music on your new computer:
1. Download and install the latest version of itunes.
2. Open itunes on your new computer. If this is your first time to open itunes on your new computer you will need to choose your options in the itunes Setup Assistant.
